(1950-2000). In December of 1999 the Cubs organization selected one player (at each position) as the player of the decade. The nine players on each of these
“Teams of the Decade” (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s) are represented in this collection. Each baseball card is signed and shows the player in a Cubs
uniform.

Cubs Pocket Schedule 1950-present collection
Full run of team issued pocket schedules present a snapshot not only of what happened on the field but what happened in society as a whole. Two interesting illustrations of this point are seen in the evolution of schedule advertising and team promotional events. Advertising in the 1950s included men’s hat companies and Sunkist Lemonade. By the 1990s cell phone and beer companies would dominate. Cubs introduced special promo games in the 1953 schedule with “Ladies Day” which offered “a comfortable, reserved box seat for only $1.” Times change; by 2000 there were 36 different promo games.

Sammy Sosa career highlights artifact collection
Home run ball (w/video, affidavits, etc.), autographs, signed bat and minibat, books, magazines, and more from baseball’s “Mr. 60-60”. Besides being the first player with two 60 plus home run seasons, this future Hall of Famer had two 30-30 seasons (homers and stolen bases), was the 1998 NL MVP, first ever Hank Aaron Award winner, and set a Cubs record in 2000 with his sixth 100 plus RBI season.

McGwire home run ticket collection 1998 (1-70)
This collection includes a full ticket from each game in which McGwire belted a home run on his way to an
unbelievable 70 for the season. Contained in five frames, this set also includes autographs from McGwire and Sosa, team patches, media credentials from key games and related photos. Each ticket is fully annotated with home run number, distance and pitcher. An unframed set is also available. This set has been exhibited by the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs.

McGwire home run ticket collection 1999 (1-65)
This collection includes a full ticket from each game in which Big Mac homered in 1999. He totaled 65 home runs, won the home run title (besting Sosa by two homers). This set includes such record game tickets as career 500th home run, 50th home run for four consecutive years, and milestone tickets such as equaling career home run totals of Eddie Mathews (512), Willie McCovey (521) and Ted Williams (521).

Sosa home run ticket collection 1998 (HR 1-66)
This collection includes a full ticket from each game in which Sosa slammed a home run on his way to 66. These home runs, along with a batting average of .308, produced 158 RBIs earning Sosa NL MVP honors and the Cubs a Wild Card birth in the playoffs. Contained in five frames, this set also includes postal caches, pocket schedule, photos and a comprehensive statistical presentation of Sammy’s sensational season. Each ticket is fully annotated with home run number, distance and pitcher. An unframed set is also available. This set has been exhibited by the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs.

Sosa home run ticket collection 1999 (HR 1-63)
This collection includes a full ticket from each game in which Sosa hammered a home run (63 total) en route to become baseball’s first “60-60” man. Besides hitting 60+ home runs in two consecutive years, Sosa tallied an impressive 299 RBIs. This set includes such record game tickets as career 300th home run and 150th home run in a three year span.
